Estimados Amigos de All or Nothing HC,
We’re writing a quick newsletter to encourage all registered voters in California to vote in the November 8, 2005 special election. As an educator I, personally, would like everyone to consider voting “No” on Proposition 74 (the “Blame the Teachers” initiative), 75 (the “Silence Our Voices” initiative), 76 (the “Cut School Funding” initiative), 77 (the reapportionment initiative), and 78 (the drug companies’ “Bad Prescription” initiative). You can read more about Propositions 74-78 at www.cta.org.
As a woman who cares about young female teens in this state I would like you to consider voting “No” on Proposition 73 (the initiative that would force young scared female teens into seeking illegal abortions or trying to terminate their pregnancies themselves). You can read more about Proposition 73 and the Campaign for Teen Safety at www.noonproposition73.org . In 1992 I first read Becky Bell’s story. Becky Bell was a victim of PL-106, Indiana’s parental consent law. Unwilling to disappoint her parents, Becky had an illegal abortion and died at 17 from massive infections. The parents of Becky Bell spent a year campaigning and speaking to educate the public about the deadly affects of these laws. Becky was born in 1971 and died in 1988. She would have turned 34 this year. Please vote “no” on Proposition 73 so more teens and their parents do not have to suffer like Becky and her parents.
Stay active,

We sort of changed up the website a little bit. Some new sections have been added and some have been modified. Hopefully all of the new features will be up and running soon. A whole bunch of new pictures are up so go check them out!!! Click here to get there.... The video we did for "Kindness for Weakness" is also working, go check it out in the MEDIA section...
Currently we don't have any shows scheduled as we are writing a bunch of songs for a new album. So far they are sounding really good and we played some of them at the past few shows. Keep checking back though because we are always bound to play a show or two at the last minute.

October 1, 2005:
Dear Friends,
First, we want to thank everyone who promoted, supported, attended and played the “Punk Rock Relief” Red Cross Benefit at The Vibe in Riverside. The benefit show raised over $450 as well as food and personal hygiene items. We especially want to give high praise to Randall Lopez, of Malice of Forethought, for organizing this successful show (with very little time) and the owner of The Vibe who donated the venue (not taking one dime of the money from the benefit). The Press Enterprise ran two different articles highlighting the event and should be commended for its continuous positive coverage of punk rock.
We just received some good news from the UK. All or Nothing HC is confirmed for inclusion on the next “The Kamikaze Broadcast” compilation put out by No Front Teeth Webzine and Caustic Rock Records. Our video for “Kindness for Weakness” will also be included on the DVD they are releasing with Dogpile called “Dancehall Troops” Vol.2. You can check out their cool webzine at www.nofrontteeth.co.uk .
We have also been asked to cover an Electric Frankenstein song, for an all female fronted tribute cd being put out by www.conform2.us . We chose “The Mess.” We have taken that song and spun it all or nothing hc style. The compilation is going to be pure estrogen rockin’ fury. So far confirmed for the compilation is: Broadzilla, Civet, The Dames, Ironhead, Hotbox, City Mouse, Texas Terri, The Twats, Ms.45, Thee Merry Widows, Dragster, Hitchcock Blondes, and Armagetiton. We’re recording our song today.
Finally, this brings me to some very important information. We were asked to play a last minute benefit at Lyrics. We did not confirm that we would do it, but were put on the flyers, as the headliner, anyway. As I understand, we are still being promoted as playing the show. We ARE NOT playing this show. We support Erick’s efforts to fundraise but choose not to play Lyrics. We are sorry for the confusion but hope this email serves as clarification. As our friends you will know when we are going to play a show because we will personally email you through myspace or regular email.
Gracias & see ya in the pit,
Renae Bryant
September 10, 2005:
Dear Friends,
We will be playing a very special benefit show Sunday, September 18, 2005. The show is a Hurricane Katrina Punk Rock Relief show sponsored by Axis of Justice IE. This is an all ages event that will happen from 12:30-7:00PM at The Vibe (1805 University Ave. Riverside CA 92507 /951.788.0310). All proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross. Everyone is asked to bring donations. Please see www.myspace.com/punkrockrelief for more information on the donations. The following bands will be playing: All or Nothing HC, Red Tape, Malice of Forethought, The Giggaloops, Broken Society, Sars & the Kickmes, Error Collective and more. Many of us want a way to help the victims of the Hurricane Katrina. This will be a great way to do something positive. It is also an opportunity to prove that punk rock and hardcore does make a positive difference. I hope the day will be filled with slam dancing and dialoguing about important issues. Let's build some solidarity around this very important cause.
In less important news...we have a new interview that is out now in the latest issue of New Reform Magazine. Pick it up at your local independent record store. My interview with Retching Red should appear in this month's MaximumRocknRoll so check that out too. If you can't get to a print copy, feel free to read it here on www.ontherag.net sample on the rag zine interviews.
Feel free to add us on my space at www.myspace.com/allornothinghc and www.myspace.com/ontheragrecords .
See ya' in the pit,

June 18, 2005:
I am proud to announce that the new On the Rag compilation, (featuring 31 female fronted bands) “Put Some Pussy in Your Punk Vol.2,” is now available. We will be celebrating its release Sunday, June 26, 2005 at the Knitting Factory’s AlterKnit Lounge 7021 Hollywood Blvd. Ste. 209 Hollywood, CA 90028 (323)463-0204 www.knittingfactory.com . It is an all ages’ matinee show starting at 5 PM. It’s five bands for five bucks (it’s Sunday so you will actually be able to find free parking)… featuring the following bands: All or Nothing HC, All Out Attak, Fatal Riot, Sick Three Days and Bruise Violet. Come out, support, and make some new friends.
We would also like to thank everyone who gave us a show, played with us, fed us or housed us while we were on our East Coast tour (check www.myspace.com/allornothinghc for our tour blog to read the specifics, especially a list of the amazing bands we played with). Special thanks go out to Daeron, Aaron, and Ken of Downtrodn, who saved our tour with their generosity. Many of you heard that Tommy had to go home four days into our tour. Downtrodn agreed to do all of our dates with us, loaning us Daeron, their drummer. We spent four days in Columbus, OH with Daeron learning five of our songs. We left Columbus, OH to play the historic CBGBs for the first time with Cause for Alarm. We were very well received, having one of the best shows of the tour. We gave a huge sigh of relief and continued the rest of the tour playing our mad and fast/ short but sweet set. We shared set times with Downtrodn for many of the shows, and it worked out quite well. Be sure to check out Downtrodn when they’re in So. Cal. 7/11-7/13.
We have good news. Tommy will remain in the band. It sucked having to finish the tour without him. It would have sucked more to try to find another drummer. You can’t really “replace” someone like Tommy. So things are looking up. You might have also heard that CBGBs may HAVE to close. If you are interested in doing your part to help keep it open, or want to learn more about what’s happening, please go to www.savecbgb.org.
Keep checking out www.myspace.com/shiragirlstage for updates on the female fronted stage at the Warped Tour.
See you in the pit,
Renae Bryant
May 16, 2005:
We would like to thank everyone that came out the Allen Theatre on Saturday. I haven't seen that place so packed in a long time. Cheap Sex put on a great set as did all of the other bands.
We are heading out for an East Coast tour this week and are looking forward to seeing all of our friends out there. Another show has been added in New York City so check out the shows page for info on that and the rest of the dates. We will also be playing the Knitting Factory in Hollywood on June 26. This will be the "Put Some Pussy In Your Punk Volume 2" record release show. And finally, we will be appearing on some of the West Coast dates of this year's Warped Tour. We will be playing the ShiraGirl Stage, which features female fronted and all female bands. Once again, all of the details are on the shows page.
See you at the shows,

April 24, 2005:
We would like to thank everybody that came out to the video shoot at the Allen Theatre yesterday. The video should look great and we will post it here on the website as soon as we get it. A special thanks goes out to James and Leslie Simmons for shooting the video and of course John and The Allen Theatre staff for allowing us to do it there.
It has been a little while since our last update and we would also like to thank Kill Your Idols for taking us on their California tour with them and Forward To Death. Both bands are amazing and you should check them out if you haven't already. The shows were all great and we had a blast hanging out with both bands. If you missed the shows then you really missed out.
In other news, we do have a couple of new shirt designs. They will up in the merch section soon but for now they are only available at our shows...and speaking of shows, we have a ton coming up including an East Coast tour, so please check the shows page for the latest details.
Thanks again to everyone for your support,

March 14, 2005:
Come on down to the Glasshouse in Pomona (200 W. 2nd St.) on Saturday, March 19, 2005. All or Nothing HC will be opening the show with Bullets and Octane, A.D.H.D., and Second Chance. The doors are at 7pm, we go on first, so get there early. This is both Bullets and Octane and aonhc’s last show before both head out on separate tours. Some of our East Coast dates are posted, too.
Thanks to all those who came out, with just five days notice, to support the Girlz Garage show at the Knitting Factory. The show was packed, and there was this great positive energy in the room all night long. The show was a launch party/band search for the Girlz Garage stage at the Warped Tour 2005. Shiragirl (NY) put on the show and is booking the stage. They put us on the show at the last minute. We opened and set the tone for a high energy night. We were able to introduce On the Rag’s new “Put Some Pussy in Your Punk” shirts, which I finally made because of popular demand. Sugarpuss played next. The three piece played a punk/metal brand of rock. They were super tight and carried the energy on with their intensity. Lia-Fail rocked next (in every sense of the word). This is one of Migs (photographer) favorite bands, and I could see why. They were the second coming of the Runaways mixed with some Motorhead. Serious metal. Next, Shiragirl took the stage. They played their campy brand of Yeastie Girls meets Peaches meets the Transplants style of feminist rap/electronica/rock/punk. They have a modern day naughtier version of Cindy Lauper in Shira, the singer and DJ Lava backing it all up. They had hired hands on guitar and drums, adding to the recorded tracks. I was completely impressed and glad to see something a little different and over the top. Jerra played next and had a great Breeders meets the Muffs style of rock. Lastly, Midway played their extremely infectious, happy, smiling style of pop (the kind that gets stuck in your head).
The night was a success because of all of you that came out to support. Special thanks to Migs (who got us on the show), Jianda (for performing spoken word), Jackie Joice (for being so understanding with the chaos that resulted in her not being able to perform her spoken word), Kirsten Patches (Naked Aggression), Michelle Angry Girl (for getting our shirts done so quickly), Pretty in Stereo, Switch Blade Kittens, The Last Gang, Castration Anxiety (even though they got their late), and our founding On The Rag Girl Crew members: Crystal and Jenn.

March 10, 2005:
We'd like to thank everyone that came out to the Knitting Factory on Saturday, even with the short notice there was a great turnout. Our next local show will be at the Glass House on Saturday, March 19 with Bullets and Octane, ADHD, and Second Chance. We also have a ton of things in the works so please keep checking in to see what is new. There has been a minor change in some of the dates of our West Coast tour so please check to make sure you show up on the right day. We will no longer be playing in Tacoma, WA. I have also confirmed about half of the East Coast dates so those are posted now, too. The rest will be up within the next few weeks.
Thanks for all of the support and we will see you at the shows!!

We'd like to thank everyone who came out to the shows this past weekend. Thanks especially to all the people who braved the rain and made it out to Sounds Like Records on Friday afternoon. We were very surprised about the great turnout!
We also have a few new shows in the shows/tour section. If you couldn't make it out to the Allen Theatre last night, not to worry as we will be returning on Sunday, February 20 with Naked Aggression. You won't want to miss this one! It's on a Sunday but since it is President's Day weekend there is no school the next day!! We will also be returning to Pomona on Monday, February 21, playing at 51 Buckingham, which is right next to the Glass House. We hope to see you at one of our two shows this coming weekend: Friday, January 28, 2005 at Sounds Like...Record Store at 4pm (free show); Saturday, January 29, 2005 at the Allen Theater 7pm doors.
The majority of the dates for our West Coast tour are also up, so be sure to check them out...some more local shows have also been added and more are coming soon.
All or Nothing HC is featured in the new issue of Skratch (107). Marcia Taylor did a fine job of transcribing numerous pages of notes into a comprehensible interview (look for it next to the full page 7 Seconds ad). You can read about All or Nothing HC and Kill Your Idols in this issue to prepare yourself for the shows we will be doing together in the spring. Yes, that's right...you read it correctly, Kill Your Idols is returning to California. We will be doing five shows with them from San Diego to Stockton. It will be a blast. I found a copy of their new CD, "From Companionship to Competition" at Sounds Like... It is worth every red penny I spent on it. That's the beautiful thing about shopping at your local mom and pop/diy/indie record store...they sell the releases before the official release date.
We have a new Street Team page. Those of you that are currently members or want to be a part of the Street Team can go to this page for more information. Thanks for your support.
I would also like to congratulate all those people who attended the Rock n Roll Camp for Girls' Benefit show. According to Tina Bold $1,200 was raised for scholarships. Good job!

January 9, 2005:
Happy New Year! Please see our show/tour page to view our show listings for the next two months. We are very pleased to announce that we will be doing a free live in-store at Sounds Like... Record Store in Riverside 1/28/05 at 4pm, it will be a fun filled event, with raffle give-a-ways and information tables from various groups that we support. Try to make it out, be there early and meet some new people.
Thanks to everyone who came out and supported the Rock n Roll Camp for Girls' Benefit show last night at Back to the Grind. It was a very eclectic group of bands. Each was finely tuned to the genre of punk that they played. Castration Anxiety played their attitude-filled street style punk rock. The ScanDells were rocking like early Lookout Records' Donnas. The Hitchhikers rock out hard delivering their pure rock n roll style of punk rock. Holy Hydraulics put full heart into their performance rocking like the Pixies and old PJ Harvey, getting the crowd to wiggle their booties. The Willowz arrived just in time to play and produced the first pit of the night, as well as a lot of comic relief between songs. We (aonhc) played next. We appreciated the enthusiastic pit and had a blast. It was great to see some friends we hadn't seen for quite some time. Finally, Squab blew everyone's mind. The last time I saw this band they were a basic three piece electro-punk outfit. Now they are geared up for full effect and none of it is fluff. They are a four piece now with a trombone playing/gypsy-esque singer. I was left impressed. Tina Bold and Stephanie Sanchez put the benefit on and are to be commended for their effort and commitment to young women getting ready to rock out. To find out more about the Rock n Roll Camp for Girls see www.girlsrockcamp.org. To find out more about Tina Bold's weekly radio show on KUCR see www.submerge411.com. Thanks for reading.
See you in the pit. -Renae

We apologize for having to cancel our set last Saturday but one of our members had a family emergency (everything is much better now). Once again we are very sorry. However, the good news is that the benefit (for which the show was being done) did make a lot of money and was successful!! We appreciate everyone that did come out to support the cause. Renae and I (Jared) were at the show and we did talk to quite a few people about our cancellation. We will be playing at the Mexican Cultural Center on December 19...and we definitely will be playing! This time the show will be a benefit to help keep the Center from closing down so please try to come out and help. We will also be playing a Girl Rock Camp benefit at Back To The Grind in Riverside, Ca on January 8. Check the shows page for all the details!! See you soon.

July 17, 2004:
Holy crap! I want to thank everyone who came out and supported the anti-Bush show/all female fronted punk rock show at the Allen Theatre last weekend. That night had an amazing line-up: Naked Aggression, The Voids, aonhc, All Out Attak, & Bruise Violet. Poet/singer/spoken word artist, J. Johnson read anti-war poetry and got the crowd ready for Naked Aggression (see www.SugarMamaPR.com for her work as well as photos from the show). It was a true experiment, having an all female line-up. A few of us were a little nervous. The anxiety was unnecessary and the show sold out. As a matter of fact it was one of the best nights ever at the Allen Theatre (a 500+ venue). All the local kids came out, plus many people drove from all over So. Cal. to support the show. We can't say enough gracious words. It was also amazing to see all the women supporting one another. Thanks to everyone who supported this could be an annual event. A special thanks also to Christine, John, and Kirsten who without them the show would not have happened.
On other fronts, we are going to be a part of the Rodent Popsicle Records Tour that is happening Labor Day weekend. It's going to be a great way to start our tour (majority of the dates are with VPR, from DC), for certain. So far the tour is Toxic Narcotic, Naked Aggression, The Midnight Creeps, The Star Strangled Bastards and AONHC for a couple of the dates. We love being a part of a family of bands that are so good.
In other news I (Renae Bryant) am the cover girl for this months edition of HQ Trade Magazine. This is a tattoo, piercing, skate shop, rock-n-roll outlet and novelty shop supplier's magazine. Justice Howard took the photo. You can see it at www.justicehoward.com by going to the public gallery and clicking on the tattoo gallery link. It's a very tasteful photo, that's pinup style, but showing off the tattoos on my back.
I will post the tour diary this weekend. This is the same one that appeared in my column for MaximumRocknRoll over the last two months.

Well we had a great time at the Glass House last Sunday. If you missed the show you sure missed out. Not to worry, as we are playing at the Allen Theatre in South Gate, Ca next Saturday (July 10) with Naked Aggression, The Voids, All Out Attak, and Bruise Violet. This is an all Female-Fronted punk night as well as an anti-war show. There is no excuse for missing this one. Make sure you get there early!
There are more shows in the works for the rest of Summer and we will also be hitting the road again in September. Part of the tour will be with our good friends VPR from Washington, DC. They are a great band and you should definitely check them out. Check back soon as all the new show dates will be posted as we get them. Oh yeah, the new pins are in so you can get them at our shows or right off of the website. We have new shirt designs and patches coming soon so be sure to check back. That's it for now!

February 27, 2004:
What do you know? I have been so busy lately that I forgot to officially introduce the newest members of the band. First of all we have the guy who has put our long search for a drummer to an end, the one and only Tommy Snarebreaker!! And we can not forget about Wade Morales. He is stepping into the 2nd Guitarist position, which has been vacant for nearly a year. So don't be afraid to say hello to either one of them... as far as we know they are harmless.
Now moving on to other happenings...The new album, which should hopefully be out in late April, is called "What Doesn't Kill You..." The cover art is just about set and I will put that up as soon as it is finished. My friend (and great graphic artist) Alex Cabrera helped us with the design. Speaking of the album, the songs are sounding great. If you happened to come to one of the shows earlier in the month we did play one of the new ones. That brings me to the final bit of news...if you are 21+ or have a fake ID, come on out to Angel's Saturday night. We are playing a benefit for Clamor Magazine and it's only $5, which goes to a great cause. And we will also be playing two new songs! Yes, you heard correct, two new songs!! Check the shows page for more details on the shows and check back soon as we will be announcing our big record release party. Okay that's enough rambling. Wow, I almost forgot to mention that I put up some pictures from the last few shows.
